MCAL Utilization History

Overview

This page provides MCAL utilization details of different clients connecting to the backup server. MCAL Utilization History can be exported into a comma delimited (CSV) file by clicking on the 'CSV' link at the top of the MCAL Utilization History page.

How to get here in the Web Console?
 In the top menu, select: "Server Admin -> License Management" and click on the "MCAL Utilization History" icon on the left side.

MCAL Utilization History

The MCAL Utilization History page provides details about the MCAL usage in the Backup Server and Replication Server.

Client MCAL Utilization History

Select the Client tab to get the client MCAL utilization history view. This tab provides MCAL utilization details of different clients connecting to the backup server. MCAL Utilization History can be exported into a comma delimited (CSV) file by clicking on the 'CSV' link at the top of the MCAL Utilization History page. In a Replication Server, this also shows from which backup server the client is replicated from.

The client MCAL Utilization History has the following details:

Total MCALs Added in Server : Total MCALs added in the server

Total MCALs utilized : Total MCALs utilized in the server.

  • Date : Date on which the MCAL was utilized by the client.

  • Client Name : Name of the client.

  • MCALs Used : MCALs used by the client for its OS type / plugin usage for the particular month.

  • Server Name : The ID of the backup server which has replicated this client to the Replication Server. This column appears only in running in Replication Server mode.

  • Server MCAL Balance : MCALs left in the backup server.

  • Customer Name : Name of the Customer under which the client is grouped.

  • Customer MCAL Balance : Number of MCALs left in the Customer to which the client belongs to. This is applicable only for those Customers that have MCALs specifically allocated.

  • License Type : License type of the client [Desktop/Server OS license].

  • Plugins Used : Plugins used by the client or No Plugin.

  • Total MCALs used by the client till date : Total MCALs used by the client till date.

Filter Options

The filter options can be used to filter the view of the MCAL utilization history to view specific entries with respect to:

  • Client Name : To view the MCAL utilization history of the client alone.

  • Server Name : To view the MCAL utilization history of this backup server alone. This option is applicable only in Replication Server.
