Server Side Email Filtering

Overview

When Email Configuration is enabled, by default, reports are sent for all "conditions" that are applicable to the "modules" (backup/restore/delete/replication) selected. The Email Filtering feature allows you specify specific conditions for which reports need to be emailed for the modules selected in "Email Configuration".

NOTE: "Configure Email Filtering" link is activated only after you've enabled your basic email configuration.

How to get here in the Web Console?
In the top menu, select: "Settings->Email Settings->" and click on 'Email Filters' on the left hand side.

Server Side Filter Settings

There are two filters that can be applied here.

Filter Email Reports by state of Backups

With the first, reports will be emailed to specified recipients for each selected module (backup/restore/delete/replication) depending on the state of the backups as selected. For example, with this option you can select to send email reports when backup/restore process fail or get completed partially. The available options are:

  1. When Backup/Restore/Delete/Replication completes successfully (in Server).

  2. When Backup/Restore/Delete/Replication fails (in Server).

  3. When there are no new or modified files for replication.

  4. When Backup is manually suspended (in Client).

  5. When Backup/Restore is Partially Completed (in Server).

  6. When a Backup schedule is missed.

Filter Email Reports by Customer/Client/Backup names

This filter allows you to email Backup, Restore, Delete & Replication Reports only for specific Backup Schedules, Clients or Customers.

By default, email reports are sent for all Backups Schedules, Clients & Customers. Manually selecting some backup schedules / clients / customers and "Disabling Email Reports" for them will prevent reports associated with those from being emailed.
