Disk Space & Client Management
Overview
The Disk Space & Client Management page represents all the Resellers, Customers, Clients and Backups in an intuitive tree and thus allows the Administrator to manage the storage allocation and usage in a usable interface. It follows a dynamic user interface using which the storage space allotted could be edited with the least amount of user operations. Thus the administrator is able to get a bird's eye view of the storage allotted and used by Reseller/Customer/Client. You can also push client/backup setting changes from the backup server into the client machines.
Disk Space & Client Management
This page lists the resellers, customers, clients and their backups in a tree format. It also shows the allotted and used disk space for the server, resellers, customers and clients.
Clicking on the Resellers root node in the tree will display the List of Resellers.
Clicking on the Reseller node in the tree will display the List of Customers.
Clicking on a Customer node in the tree will display the List of Clients under the customer.
Clicking on a Client node in the tree will display the List of Backup Schedules under the client.
The table for the list of resellers/customers/clients is described below:
Resellers/Customer/Client Name : This is the name of the resellers/customer/client provided when the resellers/customer/client was added to the server.
Backup Location : This is the default location where the backup data will be stored. A new client connecting to this backup server will by default store its backup data in this location. However, if the client or its parent customer is allocated a different storage location, its backup data will be stored in that location and not in this default location.
MCALs Allotted : This is the total number of MCALs allotted.
MCALs Used : This is the total number of MCALs used.
Allotted Space : The disk space allotted in the backup server.
Used Space : The disk space currently being used.
Actions :
Click on the Edit link against the Server, Reseller, Customer or Client to change the disk space allotted for them. Click on the Change Client Side Settings icon against the client/backup to make changes to the client or backup settings and to push those changes changes from the backup server into the client systems through Centralized Client Management (CCM) feature.
