Consolidated Customer Report

Overview

The Consolidated Customer Report is a cumulative report of all backups and restores that have run on the backup server for all the clients under the particular customer for the last one day, one week or one month. The report will be sent to the customer in an Email automatically on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Click here for sample of the report

The 'Email configuration for Consolidated Customer Report' page, has two options for configuring the the consolidated reports to be sent.

  1. Global Configuration - which configures consolidated report to be sent to a common email id list at the same schedule for all the Customers.

  2. Customer Level Configuration - this option can be used to configure different email IDs and schedules of the consolidated report for particular Customers.

Global Configuration: This option gets a global recipients email id and a global schedule and configures all the current available Customers with a global email id and schedule for generating the Consolidated Email Report for the customer.

Customer Level Configuration: This option lists all the customers and for each customer the Email IDs to which the consolidated report should be sent and the schedule (daily, weekly or monthly) for sending the reports can be specified.

The consolidated report can be manually generated and sent to the specified Email addresses by clicking on the 'Generate and Email Instant Report' link against the particular customer.

The Consolidated Customer Report can also be enabled for a customer while adding a new customer in the 'Server Admin ->Reseller Management -> List of Resellers -> Add New Customer Action' for the particular Reseller page or by editing a particular customer by going to the 'Server Admin -> Reseller Management -> List of Resellers -> Click on the Reseller Name. This will list the customers under the reseller. Now, click on Edit Customer Details (Action for the particular Customer) page.

How to get here in the Web Console?
 In the top menu, select: "Settings->Email Settings" and click on the  "Consolidated Customer Report " .

The Consolidated Customer Report has the following sections:

  1. Consolidated Customer Statistics across all Clients
  2. Consolidated Client Report
  3. Individual Client Backup Reports
  4. Individual Client Restore Reports

Consolidated Customer Statistics across all Clients

The Consolidated Customer statistics has the following details for a particular customer.

  • Server backed up to : The name of the backup server from which the report is generated.

  • Number of full backups done : Total number of full backups done during the specified period.

  • Number of restores done : Total number of restores performed during the specified period.

  • % of files successfully backed up : Success percentage of backups from the particular customer.

  • Allotted Disk Space : Total space allotted to the customer.

  • Disk space used as on <Date> : Total disk space used as of the beginning of the specified time period.

  • Average disk usage : Average (calculated on daily basis) of the disk space used over the specified time period.

  • Number of clients connected during the period : Total number of clients connected to the customer in the specified period.

  • Number of incremental backups done: Total number of incremental backups done during the specified period.

  • Customer Status: Active/Deactivated state of the Customer.

  • % of files successfully restored : Success percentage of restore from the particular customer.

  • Disk space used as on <Date> : Total disk space used as of the ending of specified time period.

  • % of Disk Space Used: Percentage of the disk space used by the customer.

  • MCALs used during the period: Total MCALs consumed during the specified time period.

Consolidated Client Report

The consolidated client report has individual client reports with the details of their entire backup schedules.

  • Client Name: Name of the client.

  • Allotted disk space: Space allotted to this client under the customer.

  • Disk space used as on <Date> : Total disk space already used up to the specified date (beginning).

  • Disk space used as on <Date> : Total disk space used up to the specified date (end).

  • Average disk usage : Average of the disk space used over the selected period.

  • % of Disk Space Used : Percentage of the space used out of the total space allotted to this client.

  • MCALs used during the period : MCALs consumed during the period.

  • Num of new backups configured during the period : Number of new backups configured during the reporting time.

  • Num of full backups done : Total number of full backups done.

  • Num of incremental backups done : Total number of incremental backups done.

  • Last backup date : Date when the last backup was scheduled in the client.

  • Client Status : Indicates the client status (active/deactivated).

Individual Client Backup Reports

The consolidated client report has individual client reports with the details of their entire backup schedules.

  • Client Name: Name of the Client.

  • Backup Name: Name of the backup.

  • Last Backup: Last backup date for the particular backup schedule.

  • Total Files: Total number of files in the backup schedule.

  • Protected Files: Total number of files backed up to the backup server.

  • Skipped Files: Files skipped during backup.

  • Skipped Folders: Folders skipped during backup.

  • Success Rate: Success percentage of the backups for the particular backup schedule.

Individual Client Restore Reports

  • Client Name: Name of the client.

  • Backup Name: Name of the backup selected for restore.

  • Last Restore: Last restore date for the particular backup schedule.

  • Total Files: Total number of files in the backup schedule.

  • Restored Files: Total number of files restored.

  • Skipped Files: Files skipped during restore.

  • Success Rate: Success percentage of the restore for the particular restore attempt.

Troubleshooting Tips

Limitations

  • The reports of deleted clients will not be available in the Consolidated Customer Reports

  • If a client is migrated from one customer to a new customer, then the client's old reports will also be migrated to the new customer.

  • Average Disk Usage details will not be available for daily reports.

  • Instant report can be generated for previous 6 months alone.

  • The consolidated reports are generated on a daily/weekly/monthly basis at the following specified times:
