Your license costs would depend on:

  1. The number of installations (computers) on which you want to run StoreGrid

  2. How many of these installations run on a Server OS, and how many run on a Desktop OS.

    • Server OS are: Windows 2000 Server, 2003 Server, Small Business Server, 2008 Server, Linux, FreeBSD

    • Desktop OS are: Windows 2000, XP, Vista & Mac OS X
      (in both cases, mode of installation does not matter, ie, it does not matter if StoreGrid is installed as client / server / client-server)

  3. Whether some of your Server OS installations will use the advanced plugin for SQL+Exchange backup

  4. Whether you require any Replication Server licenses

Things you should know about Licensing StoreGrid Education Edition

Once you purchase the Education Edition, you simply receive licensing coupons that you can use at your convenience to generate license keys - to provide you maximum flexibility.

Once you make your first StoreGrid Education Edition purchase, you will receive your own Partner Zone account where the coupons are credited.

Eligiblity:
Academic discounts are available for recognized educational institutions, defined as a school, college, university, or not-for-profit research institute that is accredited by an agency in their country. Educational administrative offices, boards of education can also avail this discount. Commercial training centers and other related entities are not eligible for academic pricing.
