Replication Server Replication Progress

Overview

This popup gives a progress of the replication schedule currently active. Note that the progress icon will be green if the replication is active. The percentage progress is based on the total files already replicated vs. total files to be replicated as part of the current schedule.

How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
In the top menu, select: "Server Admin->Customer Management" and click on the "Customer Name" in this customer row. This lists the clients under this customer. Click on the "Client Name" in this client row. This lists the backup schedules for this client. Now click on the "Progress" icon in the Backup Name column.

What does the ‘Replication Server Replication Progress’ window tell you?

  • Transfer Rate - Displays the transfer rate of the replication data being transferred to the Replication Server.

  • Backup Schedule - Displays the name of the backup schedule which is being replicated.

  • Client Name - Displays the client name whose backup data is being replicated.

  • Messages - Displays the current replication progress message.

  • Files Processed - Displays the number of files replicated so far in comparison with the total number of files gathered.

  • Added Files - Displays the number of files newly added/created for replication.

  • Modified Files - Displays the number of files that are modified in the client after the last replication.

  • Protected Files - Displays the number of files protected/replicated to the replication server.

  • Deleted Files - Displays the number of files that are deleted after the last replication.

  • Configuration Files - Display the number of StoreGrid configuration files replicated. Configuration files includes the StoreGrid created internal files during a backup.

  • Bytes Transferred - The number of bytes transferred for replication.

  • Current File - Displays the current file that is being replicated.

  • Backup Location - Displays the location the replicated data is stored in the replication server.

  • Warning - Displays the warning message, if any, when the replication is in progress.

Troubleshooting Tips

Limitations

  1. The replication server replication progress window polls the StoreGrid Replication Server every single second to get the progress of replicate. This process can slow down the actual backup operation by between 50% to 75% ! So, for large backup schedules it is better to keep the replication server progress window closed and open it only occasionally to check the replication server replication progress.
