Overview

StoreGrid includes plug-ins for Exchange and SQL-Server backups. You have the option of choosing between the Basic plugin & Advanced plugin to manage your SQL & Exchange backup requirements.

The basic plug-in is provided with StoreGrid at no extra cost. This (basic plugin) uses NTBackup and OSQL to backup Exchange & SQL respectively. While this serves many users' requirements, if you want better performance and some more features, you can use the advanced plugin. This (advanced) plugin works directly with Exchange & SQL APIs and therefore handles Exchange & SQL backups even more efficiently.

How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
 In the top menu, select: "Administration->Advanced Options" and click on the "Plugin Settings" icon in the left hand side.

SQL + Exchange Plugin

By default StoreGrid is installed with basic version of the (SQL + Exchange) plugin. On Clicking the "Enable Advanced Plugin" button, the advanced version of the (SQL + Exchange) plugin will be enabled. Once the advanced version of the (SQL + Exchange) plugin is enabled, "Disable Advanced Plugin" button is provided to revert to the basic version of the (SQL + Exchange) plugin.
