Add / Delete StoreGrid Peer(s)

How to get here in the StoreGrid Web Console?
  In the top menu, select: "Administration-> Add/Delete Peer" and select the "Add Peer(s)" table.

This page is used to discover & add StoreGrid peers which are not automatically discovered. The console has the following fields:

Machine Name - This is the name of the peer (if known) which needs to be added / discovered. You can also give the IP address of the peer and the DNS name will be automatically obtained.

StoreGrid ID - This is an optional field to enter the StoreGrid ID of the peer (if known) which needs to be added / discovered. If you do not give a StoreGrid ID, StoreGrid will try and discover the StoreGrid ID too, but it may take some time. Until StoreGrid discovers the ID, the discovered peer will be shown using its fully qualified machine name.

Machine Type - If you know the ‘type’ of the peer (server/client), specify it here. If you don’t, choose "Unknown". StoreGrid will try to automatically discover the ‘type’.

Add Peer Button - Once the machine name and the machine type are specified as described above, you can make StoreGrid discover it by clicking on the Add Peer Button.

Delete Peer - Once added, the machines are listed in the table available below the Add Peer button with their corresponding details. The availability of the added machine can be interpreted from the image displayed before the StoreGrid ID; a blue icon indicates that the machine is available, and a black icon denotes that it's unavailable. To delete a StoreGrid peer, simply click on the delete icon in the row corresponding to the peer.
