Hi,

When i install storegrid in application mode its fine and startsup and runs oki. However when i installed as a service assigned it and adminsitrative account it fails to start giving me a #1067 error

I have tried your post as to unistalling reinstalling as application then running the bin\storegrid via command line. it runs fine with no errors.

Hi,

We tested StoreGrid installation on Windows 2003 R2 OS in service and it is working for us.

Please check the StoreGrid service's logon account details that the StoreGrid logon account has the logon permission to run StoreGrid as a service.

You can change the StoreGrid service's logon account by following the steps below:

1. Stop the StoreGrid application through the StoreGrid system tray.

2. Open Services manager through "Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Services" tool.

3. Right-click the StoreGrid service and then click Properties.

4. On the Log On tab, click 'This account', and then click Choose User.

5. In Look in, click the domain or workgroup of the user or group you want.

6. In the Name list, click the user or group account, or enter the account name in 'Name' field, and then click OK.

7. In 'Password' and 'Confirm password' fields, type the password for the user account. Then press 'OK' button to apply the changes made.

8. Start the StoreGrid application through the StoreGrid system tray.

Now, StoreGrid service should run with out the issue.

When StoreGrid installed in application mode, StoreGrid run as the logged in user account. So, you are not getting this issue when running StoreGrid in application mode.

NOTE: You have to run StoreGrid as a service when you need StoreGrid to run without any user logged on to the system. If you install StoreGrid as application, StoreGrid only runs when a user is logged on.
