Thanks. Do you have any metrics on the advantages of one over the other? Is the new plugin likely to see an improvement in the uploaded volume count?

Hi Suredata,
Advantages of the new Outlook API based backup
=============================================
1. Incrementals are faster
2. Incrementals will upload much less data
3. Ideal for cases where PST file sizes are huge.
Disadvantages
==============
1. Full backup could be slightly slower
2. Restore needs all the incrementals to be present. If a particular incremental backup file is not restored, then the emails backed up in that incremental will not be restored.
3. You may get back all the deleted emails after restore. Deleted email notifications are not processed.
4. May consume large storage space in the backup server over long run.

Hi StoreD,
It should be ready by end of today (Friday). We are running through some final testing and updating the AMI web site as well with the details. Please check back on Saturday.
chaunj,
Branding testing is going on. It should be available by Monday or Tuesday. We'll initially be running the branding and uploading the builds manually. Once it works well, it will be set in Auto mode where the builds will be automatically generated as you provide the request from your partner zone.

Yes, v4.2 are now available in your partner zone. You can submit a request for your branded build. The generated v4.2 builds can be installed over v4.0 and v4.1 installations. Make sure you upgrade your backup server and replication server first before upgrading the client machines.

Just checking if there is any update on 4.2 release date. Many thanks for the Debain beta, with it installed I was able to build a "Hybrid NAS" appliance that has a Hypervisor builtin and can mount the VHD files as a VM thus offering a low cost DR solution for customers.

Sam,
Is it possible to get some more info on this project you took on? I am trying to accomplish the same thing.
Best Regards
